SOP 001: The Laundry Logic System

The main reason we need a laundry system is to save our brain power for more important things.

When clothes are scattered everywhere, it makes our minds feel messy and tired. This is called "brain fog."

By following a strict plan, we don't have to think about what to do next; we just follow the steps so we can finish quickly and go back to playing or working.

The Objective

The goal of this system is to make sure every person in the house has clean clothes ready to wear without anyone feeling stressed out.

The Infrastructure

  • Three Laundry Baskets: One for lights, one for darks, and one for towels.

  • Simple Kitchen Timer: To remind you when the machine is finished.

  • Clear Detergent: To keep things simple and avoid extra smells.

  • Labeled Shelves: A specific home for every type of clothing.

The Procedure

Step 1: The Audit First, you must look at all the clothes in the room. You need to measure how much is actually dirty and how much is just messy. We only want to spend energy on the clothes that really need to be washed.

Step 2: The Extraction Next, you move the dirty clothes into your three baskets. This moves the mess away from your living space and into the "backend" system. By sorting them now, you don't have to think about it later when the machine is ready.

Step 3: The Re-Calibration Now, you start the machine and set your kitchen timer. This protects your energy because the timer "remembers" the laundry for you. You don't have to keep checking the machine or worrying about wet clothes sitting too long.

Step 4: The Bloom The final result is a clean room and a full closet. Every shirt and pair of pants is put in its exact home. You can now walk through your house without tripping on piles, and your brain can finally feel calm.

The Failure Mode Warning: Do not buy pretty, expensive baskets if they are too heavy to carry or don't fit on your shelves. If you pick looks over how the baskets actually work, your system will break and the laundry will end up on the floor again.
